Summer Computer Coaching Programme for Youth

Don Bosco Degree College Conducts Summer Computer Coaching Programme for Local Youth
Hyderabad, May 2026: Don Bosco Degree College, Moti Nagar, successfully conducted a Summer Computer Coaching Programme aimed at empowering young learners with essential digital skills and introducing them to the emerging world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The programme benefited 15 participants, primarily students from the neighbourhood surrounding the campus and the children of the domestic staff working in the school and college.
The coaching programme was designed to provide practical and industry-relevant computer education during the summer vacation. Participants received hands-on training in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with an introduction to various AI tools and their applications in education and daily life.
A special feature of the programme was its Applied Learning Methodology, which emphasized learning through practice and project-based activities. To support this approach, a practical handbook titled “MS Office & AI Tools Made Easy” was specially prepared for the participants. The guide enabled students to learn systematically and complete a variety of practical assignments and projects under expert guidance.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Suresh, AI Data Quality Analyst Trainer at DB Tech, Moti Nagar. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on exercises, he helped students gain confidence in using digital tools and understand the growing importance of AI in the modern world.
The initiative was conceived and promoted by Fr. Gopu Peter, SDB, whose vision was to make digital literacy and emerging technologies accessible to young people from the local community. The programme reflects Don Bosco's commitment to providing quality education and skill development opportunities, especially for those who may not otherwise have access to such training.
The college also acknowledged the valuable support of the non-teaching staff, particularly Mr. Chaitanya and Mr. Prabhu Das, whose assistance contributed significantly to the smooth organization and successful completion of the programme.
The participants expressed great enthusiasm throughout the course and appreciated the opportunity to learn practical computer skills and AI applications in a supportive learning environment. The programme concluded with a sense of accomplishment among the students, many of whom completed their first digital projects and presentations.
Through initiatives such as this Summer Computer Coaching Programme, Don Bosco Degree College continues its mission of empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
